The Singleton of Dufftown 15 years old single malt whisky is matured in a high proportion of American oak casks with a small portion of European oak casks to balance the liquid. American oak casks release honeyed hints of vanilla and European oak casks bring rich fruit aromas to this whisky. The Singleton 15 years old whisky elegant aroma impresses with sweet fruitiness. Pleasant, soft, rich aroma of whisky is filled with notes of nuts and citrus fruits. Fine wood accents, roasted hazelnuts, ripe fruits are all enhanced with hints of spices, berries, brown sugar and coffee. Maturation for 15 years in uniquely matched barrels of American and European oak gives this single malt whisky a rich, smooth taste with beautiful sweet and spicy tones. Whisky opens with buttery fruit cake mix followed by hints of citrus fruit and vanilla. The finish is smooth, with light toasty oak, well balanced, with a creamy violet scented notes.
