The tannins are strong, yet nicely balanced with a ripe and vigorous berriness, the spicy and woody notes make this excellent wine a good companion for strong red meats, traditional hard cheeses and dry-cured hams.

Smell: Complex, herbaceous and elegantly woody with a touch of freshly ground pepper and a nuance of liquorice.

Description: Marqués de Griñón was the first in Spain winery to be awarded the prestigious Vinos de Pago status. Rich and full-bodied Petit Verdot is dominated by strong blackcurrants, coffee, licorice and minerality can be felt in the background. Tannins are strong, but nicely balanced with ripe and powerful berry fruit. Spicy and woody notes make this excellent wine a good companion to robust red meats, traditional hard cheeses and developed hams. The aroma is complex, elegantly woody and herbal.
